Astragalus herb has been used for centuries in TCM for hay fever, asthma, and upper respiratory infections.
Wild cherry is a tree. The bark and fruit are used to make medicine. Some people take wild cherry by mouth for colds, whooping cough, bronchitis (lung inflammation), and other lung problems.
Elecampane is used for lung diseases including asthma, bronchitis, and whooping cough. It is also used to prevent coughing.
Mullein has been used traditionally as a remedy for the respiratory tract, including bronchitis. It works as an expectorant, meaning it helps expel mucus. Expectorant herbs help loosen bronchial secretions and make the elimination of mucus easier.
Traditional Eastern Herbalism recommends using the herb for upper respiratory tract infections because of its lung-supporting benefits. Those with asthma often use Honeysuckle to soothe and clear the airways.
Elderberry has been shown to shorten the duration of common respiratory ailments.
Turkey tail has been used in traditional Chinese medicine to treat lung diseases for many years.
The high mucilaginous content of marshmallow root may make it a useful remedy for treating coughs and colds
